Manifesting with Feng Shui and the Law of Attraction
by Deborah Redfern

Excerpt from Deborah's Lesson 1 ~
In this feng shui course, you will learn about the connection between your thoughts and your environment. You will be guided to consciously create an environment that draws more of what you want in life to you -- with ease.

The first time I heard about the law of attraction was during a yoga teacher training in San Francisco - and I totally rejected it! We were there because yoga had brought healing into our lives. There was one man who had been wheelchair bound after an illness and recovered through practicing yoga. He had been told that he attracted his illness to him, and was adamant that he did not choose to be sick. He felt judged and we sided with him, declaring that none of us had chosen to become ill either.

For many years, I believed when things went wrong it was just 'life' -- bad luck and poor timing - but I began to see holes in my argument. For example, I acknowledged a connection between choosing yoga and becoming well again, but it wasn't until feng shui came into my life in the form of Interior Alignment that I really "got it."

Where Intention Goes, Energy Flows
Even though the motto of Interior Alignment is "where Intention goes, energy flows." I didn't realize at first that we were helping people use the law of attraction in their lives. Whatever it was, however it worked, I knew it was the right path because it felt so positive, healing, hopeful and good.

Within the framework and ancient knowledge that comprises feng shui, I found a language, a step by step system that I compare to a dance of energy. This dance of energy helps you describe, define and refine what you want in life, and then use the information to manifest your soul's desires.

This Course Describes a Dance
It is a very old dance which has a particular pattern and steps to learn. It is a dance about energy. At one time every one of us knew this dance, but now many of us have forgotten how to do it. It is simple to learn but takes practice to master because it involves monitoring your thought processes. There are nine steps in this dance, consisting of two parts:

1) Feng shui and
2) The law of attraction.

There are similarities between the two parts and this course will teach you to interweave them together to create a very powerful tool of manifestation.

What is Feng Shui?
First, let's consider what feng shui is. Feng shui is known as the Chinese art of creating harmony and balance in the environment, and it describes the flow of energy. There are two types of energy. One is non-physical and the other is physical.

The words feng shui themselves mean wind and water. Wind represents non-physical energy and water represents physical energy. To put it another way, wind represents the spirit realm and water represents the material world.

arrow Non-physical Energy
Wind represents the spirit realm because it has no form. In the form of air, it surrounds you at all times, but you cannot see it, touch it, taste it, or hear it. Yet it is not completely in the world of spirit because wind/air shape-shifts. When air takes the form of a gentle breeze you can see it move the curtains, hear the tinkle of the wind chimes and feel the cool breeze against your cheek. Wind can also be dramatic and violent in its form as a tornado and in this fierce state acts upon water causing storms at sea and hurricanes.

arrow Physical Energy
Water represents the material world. Water is physical – you can see it, touch it, taste it, hear it, and it takes on the shape of whatever it is contained in – a lake, a cup, a hand. Water also has the ability to shape-shift. Sometimes it is solid and dense – as when it freezes, and other times it is barely perceptible – as when it condenses into mist. When it is in this form it is closer to the spirit realm.

What is the Law of Attraction
Now let's consider what the law of attraction is. Simply stated, the law of attraction is an invisible energy field. Like air, it surrounds us at all times, yet we can not perceive it directly with our senses. We can't see it, smell it, taste it or feel it; yet like the air, we know that it is present. There is also a physical side to the law of attraction because it has a force much like a magnet in drawing things together. The law of attraction simply states that what you think about, you attract. The more you think about it, the more you attract it. To change what you attract and manifest, you adjust what you think and the way you think.

Interweaving Feng Shui and the Law of Attraction
The law of attraction explains how certain aspects of feng shui work. It is true that many of the tenets of feng shui are practical, everyday common sense, and yet there is a mystical side because it describes the relationship – the dance – between the visible and the invisible worlds of energy and how this affects people's lives. It is one of those things in life that we instinctively know, yet cannot explain.

Everything in your environment has an influence, either positive or negative, on your state of mind. It is only when your way of thinking is in alignment with the attraction energy field that it can co-create. What you think (i.e., your thought processes) is of the utmost importance in attracting what you desire in your life. Here is where feng shui can help you align your thoughts with what you want to create.
