"We do not need magic to transform our world. We carry all of the power we need inside ourselves already."
Twice a year, we and our neighbors pick up roadside trash by our homes, followed by a lively potluck brunch at our house. The road clean-up is part of the Adopt a Highway program. Usually we work in pairs, but this fall while picking up and bagging trash alone on a small stretch of road, I started to feel discouraged by all the trash that people clearly just tossed out their windows without a thought about what happens to it. At that very moment, an elderly couple slowed down, opened their window to thank me for my efforts. This was followed moments later by a man tooting his horn and giving me a thumbs-up. These small gestures lifted my spirits to carry on and shortly thereafter others from our crew joined me to help. It was a small reminder that when we find ourselves discouraged by life, it serves us to trust that the Universe will send us the support we need... when we need it. It is then up to us to recognize, accept and embrace this support.
P.S. If you find value in this ezine, please help us grow our list by forwarding it on. Please know we are grateful for this small act of kindness! For NEW subscribers joining us this month, we are offering this complimentary Life Purpose Workbook!

What is the path the Traditional Shaman walks? If I had to highlight it in one word I would call it "being"; a state of being.
Every created thing is energy. It receives and emits energy. The first goal for the Traditional Shaman apprentice is to break out of the limits of the physical perceptions only, which create limited beliefs and limited realities by their very nature, and to perceive with inner senses the energies that lie beyond the limits of outer senses. It is not about accomplishing working with beings or having superhuman powers or creating gold out of dust. It is a state of consciousness that few people in this world ever achieve. It is the perceiving of this Energy in all its innumerable forms and living this life experience from this state of "being".
The Traditional Shaman has the advantage of seeing the flow of Energy and cooperating with that flow, working within the flow of Energy that is all around us and within us that simply IS. Read on.

This Month's Holistic Prayer
A Prayer for 2012
May we truly know ourselves
In the magical year of 2012
May eyes be opened and heart and mind And shackles broken as spells unwind
May the veil be lifted so that we see That we're all part of one family
As sisters and brothers making our stand With loving kindness for our fellow man
May no one hunger or suffer in pain May fear be vanquished and love remain
May we nurture and heal our world Earthly stewards' green flags unfurled
May armies of war become armies of peace As we learn to forgive all hatred will cease
May we all embrace under the sun And recognize that we come from the One
May we finally know ourselves In the magical year of 2012.
