Whether St. Patrick’s Day conjurors
up thoughts of the Patron Saint (guided by a prophetic dream), leprechauns, or the Goddess
Brigit, all indications - at least in our part of the world - are pointing towards a much welcomed
spring season. Side note: Celtic Goddess Brigit was known for healing, farming, crafts, poetry,
and fire. Flowers are said to have sprung up from where Brigit walked and at springtime,
flowers appeared as her cloak passed over the earth to bring it back to life. So, take a deep
breath and welcome in a new season of rebirth! We hope you experience much renewal in
the coming weeks and that this issue with tips, blips and articles is one means of support and
self-healing. And yes, Happy Saint Patrick’s Day!
Go mbeannai Dia duit; May God Bless You,

"Any ordinary favor we do for someone or any compassionate reaching out may
seem to be going nowhere at first, but may be planting a seed we can't see right now.
Sometimes we need to just do the best we can and then trust in an unfolding we can't
design or ordain. "
~ Sharon Salzberg, O Magazine, The Power of Intention, January 2004
I am not good at making New Years resolutions. It is just too dark and cold to think about
taking action of any kind. Spring to me is the perfect time to make plans and set goals.
The air begins to vibrate, as everything starts to wake up. The birds are a bit perkier and
lunchtime is for walking outside and not just huddling in warm offices. The ground has
thawed enough for planting to begin. What we plant now will blossom and bear fruit in the
summer and the fall. It is also the time to seed our creative gardens. . .

disability or debilitating disease must rebuild his or herself. Many of you believe you
are disabled. You have a medical diagnosis to justify your disability condition, but how
disabled are you? You may suffer from a disease or the effects of. . .

Dear Marty ~ I lost my husband to suicide last year. . .
Q & A by Bereavement Counselor Marty Tousley

Question: I lost my husband to suicide last year and I am
trying to cope. I am trying to move on, but I cannot do this alone anymore. I feel
responsible, because he asked me to say something I could not say, and subsequently
hanged himself. I feel so much remorse, guilt, pain, and it won't stop. I continually have
thoughts to go to him. I am losing it by the day and don't understand what's happening
to me. I need. . .

Finding Your Spiritual Soul Mate: March Tip
Acknowledge and Slay Personal Dragons
By Rev. Laurie Sue Brockway
In the mythology, fairytales and Hollywood movies that shape our consciousness about
soulful love, epic lovers have a series of challenges to meet and master, and a few
dragons to slay, before they can claim the precious prize of everlasting love. The same
holds true for modern soul mates. While some people seem lucky in love -- as if they were
born in a state of readiness for true intimacy and partnership - the rest of us. . .

Ever have one of those days? Too many tasks for the time allotted... too many demands
that seem overwhelming... too many frowns that have left wrinkle residue on your
forehead and alongside your mouth. Then it happens! A phone call, an e-mail, a letter,
a joke, a story, a cartoon, a pet, a child, a best friend, c-h-o-c-o-l-a-t-e... one small act,
one moment flips your switch and the wrinkle residue is eliminated by a satiable smile, a
cheerful chuckle, or a gregarious guffaw! Laughter builds, your heart is beating, and you. . .

Closing Thoughts
This Month's Holistic Prayer
Dona nobis pacem; grant us peace.
~ Brighid ~
You are a Goddess of Peace,
You bring harmony where there is conflict,
You bring light to the darkness,
You bring hope to the downcast.
May the Mantle of Your Peace
Cover those who are troubled and anxious,
And may Peace be firmly rooted in our hearts and in our world.
Inspire us to act justly and to reverence all of Creation.
~ From Brisingamen of Cill na Craoibhe Olóige, a pagan version of
prayer to St. Brigid
