Your Tools For This Journey ~ Scrapbooking Supplies
You will need some basic scrapbooking supplies for the course
Writing for Life: Creating a Story of Your Own.
The Workbook
Purchase a 3-ring binder, a ream of loose-leaf paper, and perhaps dividers. Create a
section for the hard copy of weekly e-mail lessons and a section for your morning pages
[we will cover mornings pages in lesson two]. In the first section you will be asking
and answering your daily questions and creating the drafts for your life story. Take
off the kid gloves. The workbook is the place to make mistakes, curse and scream at
the stupid questions, morning pages and your life!
The Journal
The journal is where you will create your book. It can be with or without lines and needs to
be big enough to paste precious items such as photos, quotes, pressed flowers, leaves, shells,
etc. Once you have done the workbook "draft" work, you can handwrite or paste typed pages or
excerpts into your journal. I recommend writing since it makes journal more personal. However,
if you prefer pasting in typed pages or excerpts go ahead.
Other Scrapbooking Supplies
- A favorite pen, as well as, markers, paints or crayons.
- Paste, tape
- Magazines or newspapers. You will cut images and words from a variety of sources.
Make sure to pick up your scrapbooking supplies of a journal and binder immediately; you
will be working in them from the start to end of this course.
